Singapore Airlines Flight SQ37 sent a transponder code 7500 shortly after take-off from Los Angeles International Airport, according to the online ADS-B Exchange Flight Tracking Program. However, the flight resumed its normal course and no emergency signal was received – indicating a technical failure or a false alarm....

Dearborn police said they were engaged by a shooter at the Hampton Inn hotel at Michigan Avenue and near Military Street. Officers were called to the scene shortly after 1pm and evacuated the hotel on arrival. Dearborn police said the shooter is not in custody but “is contained” and said there was at least one victim who was taken to a local hospital. It appears that the perpetrator is on the third floor of the hotel....
