Es ist bereits der elfte weltweite „Klimastreik“, zu dem die Klimaschutzbewegung „Fridays for the Future“ (FFF) aufgerufen hat: In Hamburg sind am Freitag Tausende Menschen in die Innenstadt gekommen, um für mehr Klimaschutz zu demonstrieren. “Fridays for Future” reklamierte 19.000 Teilnehmer, die Polizei 15.000. Auf Transparenten und Plakaten forderten Demonstranten „1,5 Grad fürs Klima“ und „Maut auf Flugmeilen“. Die Kundgebung startete am frühen Nachmittag auf der Willy-Brandt-Straße. Ein großer Zug von Menschen jeden Alters marschierte sechs Kilometer durch die Hamburger City – angeführt von einem großen Kinderzug an der Spitze – zu einer erneuten Schlussversammlung in der Willy-Brandt-Straße....

The Arizona Court of Appeals’ order came after Planned Parenthood Arizona, a reproductive health organization, appealed a September ruling by Pima County Superior Court Judge Kellie Johnson. The stay is in effect until the appeal is heard by the appellate court. Johnson had lifted a decades-old order on the near-total restrictions, which have their roots in an 1864 law that has no exemptions for victims of rape or incest and threatens abortion providers with up to five years in prison....

The poll, released Tuesday, puts Sen. Mark Kelly (D) ahead of Republican Blake Masters by 2 points, with 47 percent of Arizona voters saying they would support the incumbent Democrat and 45 percent saying they would vote for the challenger. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points. Severe storms will continue to threaten parts of the south-central US on Saturday morning after a powerful system that spawned tornadoes moved through the region, damaging homes in Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas. At least one person was reported dead and there are “multiple people missing” in McCurtain County in southeastern Oklahoma, where there was significant storm damage after a possible tornado touched down in the town of Idabel, according to county emergency manager Cody McDaniel....
